We are currently looking for a skilled SAP Consultant (Banking/Finance) to join our team on a freelance basis. Based in Pune, with a minimum experience of 5-8 years in the Banking/Finance industry, the ideal candidate will work closely with backend developers and integration teams to configure, customize, and maintain SAP modules relevant to financial operations. The primary responsibility involves ensuring seamless integration with modern applications through APIs, OData, and middleware, thereby bridging SAP financial modules with enterprise and cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, customize, and maintain SAP finance-related modules to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with backend developers to design and implement integration workflows using OData services, REST APIs, and middleware.
- Utilize SAP PI/PO and SAP Gateway for API enablement and data transformation.
- Offer technical and functional expertise for SAP S/4HANA finance processes.
- Define data flows between SAP and external applications to uphold data integrity, security, and performance standards.
- Engage in project planning, requirement gathering, and technical documentation activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP FI, CO, and other finance-related modules.
- Familiarity with SAP PI/PO, SAP Gateway, BAPIs, and OData for seamless integrations.
- Sound understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and banking/finance business processes.
- Experience in integrating 3rd-party systems with SAP using REST, JSON, and XML.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements in the finance sector such as data privacy and encryption.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Understanding of microservices architectures and their interaction with SAP systems.
- Experience with secure credential management tools like HashiCorp Vault.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) for SAP hybrid deployments.,
