Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Title: Analytics Engineer (Mid / Senior)

Location: Remote (India)

Working Hours: UK Shift

Role Overview

We are hiring Mid and Senior Analytics Engineers with strong hands-on experience in dbt, excellent SQL, and a solid understanding of modern data warehouse standards.

You will work directly with UK stakeholders, so strong English communication is essential.

Experience with Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, and Python for lightweight data tasks will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, optimise, and maintain dbt models following best practices.
• Write scalable, efficient SQL with high coding standards.
• Manage and improve data models (fact/dimension, star/snowflake schemas).
• Maintain documentation, testing, version control, and CI/CD in dbt.
• Work with Snowflake for data modelling and transformations.
• Support reporting needs using ThoughtSpot (or similar BI tools).
• Collaborate with UK stakeholders across product, operations, growth, and finance.
• Own deliverables end-to-endfrom requirement gathering to final implementation.

Required Skills & ExperienceFor Both Mid & Senior Roles

• 2+ years (Mid) or 4+ years (Senior) working with dbt or modern analytics engineering tools.
• Excellent SQL skills including window functions, optimisation, and relational modelling.

• Understanding of data modelling, including star/snowflake schemas.
• Hands-on documentation, testing, and best practice workflows.
• Strong English communication must handle stakeholder calls independently.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for ETL/ELT pipeline support.

Senior Level Additional Requirements

• Ability to design and scale analytics engineering frameworks.
• Comfort leading end-to-end projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and enforce standards.
• Strong experience managing cross-functional stakeholder expectations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
• Experience with Git-based workflow and CI/CD for data models.
• Prior work in high-growth product or e-commerce environments.
