This role is available in theOCI AI Platform solutions and services org. We are addressing exciting challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge cloud infrastructure. We are building cloud services and tools for all aspects of data-centric AI and machine learning lifecycle - data ingestion, synthetic data generation, data labeling, data bench-marking, model training and ML data infrastructure. Our services are used by both internal and external customers for processing machine learning data related to Vision, Language, Speech and other AI capabilities.

Career Level - IC3

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software development experience, with a strong foundation in Computer Science through a Bachelors / Masters or equivalent educational qualification

• You have prior experience working on distributed systems at a cloud service provider (IaaS, PaaS or SaaS)
• You are proficient in Java and related technologies, preferably as a full stack developer including UI technologies
• Help drive the next-generation AI platform offerings, with a focus on seamless user experience using Oracle standard tools, technology and development practices like OJET and REDWOOD styling.
• Working directly with architects to ensure newer capabilities are built by applying right design principles
• Provide technical leadership to the development team & junior engineers
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle - development, testing, CI and production operations
• Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events
• Be very technically hands-on and own/drive key end-to-end product/services
• Participate in on-call for the service with the team along with hiring, mentorship and other org building activities

Your Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent related fields.
• Excellent Backend and UI development skills

  Get Hired
• Java, J2EE, Javascript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, React,AngularJS. Good to have Testing tools like Karma, Jasmine etc.
• Familiarity with OJET and redwood design theme is an added plus.
• Prior experience building cloud serviceswith java programming languages.
• Solid understanding of REST api fundamentals and api specification designs.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Preferably, hands-on experience performing devops functions (build, deploy, monitor etc.) using relevant tools, preferably in Cloud environment
• Preferably, production experience with Cloud and ML technologies.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with the Agile process will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the Cloud will be an added advantage.
