Job Description
Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
As a member of Corporate Accounting team, you will assist in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts receivable, cash and inter-company transactions globally for all OFD accounts. Maintain OFD Receivables and its monthly income including the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. Various closing activities (monthly & quarterly) and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making, audit queries, and SEC reporting. Ensure OFD entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes. Actively participate in special projects.
Ability to completes own role independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong analytical, prioritization and communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is essential. Experience with Oracle Financial system is an ideal, but not required if experienced with comparable enterprise accounting system. 3-5 years international accounting experience and BA/BS degree in accounting. CA is desirable. MBA is a plus. Must have strong command in English and attention to the details.Work Hour (IST): 3pm- Midnight

The Senior Accountant for OFD is a part of Corporate Accounting team and will support the Financial Controllership for OFD and act as a liaison between the legal entities of Oracle in worldwide, and Oracle Financing Division.

Specific areas of responsibility will include supporting financial controllership of OFD operations such as performing and reviewing reconciliation of global OFD accounts, deal entries and OFD financing receivables, the financial reporting of OFD operations (monthly & quarterly) in accordance with USGAAP, Analysis and interpretation of financial results of OFD operation and presentation to senior management and auditors.
The Senior Accountant will work very closely with middle management and will collaborate with OFD operations team maintaining in cross-functional relationships with Oracles Finance organizations - Global Controller Organization, Technical Accounting, External Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Global Business Finance and Legal organizations.
