DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Manual Tester with a strong background in the banking domain to lead a team of QA analysts and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of banking workflows and systems, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and a solid foundation in manual testing methodologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage a team of manual testers throughout the software testing lifecycle.
• Analyze business requirements and functional specifications, and create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing across web and mobile banking applications.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners) to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments based on system changes and enhancements.
• Mentor junior testers, review test deliverables, and enforce QA best practices.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development environments; actively participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate and manage UAT cycles.
• Prepare QA status reports and metrics for management and project stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manual testing with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Strong domain knowledge of retail/corporate banking systems (e.g., core banking, loan origination, payments, cards, internet/mobile banking).
• Expertise in test management and defect tracking tools

• Hands-on experience with writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with compliance, regulatory requirements, and security testing within the banking domain.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• ISTQB or other QA certifications.
• Experience with automation tools is a plus (Selenium, UFT, etc.).
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience in performance testing (JMeter) is a bonus.
