Our client, a leading real estate construction firm, is seeking an experienced Business Development Head to lead its growth journey aimed at expanding its national footprint through strategic land acquisitions, partnerships, and transformational business initiatives. This opportunity is part of the firm's broader strategic growth plan to enhance stakeholder value, strengthen its land portfolio, and drive new business ventures across India.
The role combines strategic leadership with deep market expertise, where the professional will guide acquisitions, develop alliances, and enable the organisation to seize large-scale opportunities that redefine its market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of senior professionals across India to drive land acquisition and business development initiatives

- Identify, evaluate, and acquire strategic land parcels, from sourcing to transaction closure and handover for development
- Build and present business cases for new initiatives, partnerships, and alliances; influence board-level decision-making
- Maintain and expand relationships with international property consultants (IPCs), channel partners, and key market stakeholders to stay ahead of trends
- Oversee transaction management including opportunity pipeline creation, financial viability assessment, commercial negotiations, and agreement finalisation
- Collaborate with investment funds and developers on JV/JD opportunities, pre-leased assets, and land acquisitions, particularly in North India
Your Background:
- 20-30 years of leadership experience in business development, land acquisition, and strategic growth within the real estate sector
- Proven track record with leading real estate brands (e.g., DLF, Godrej Properties, Prestige Group, Shapoorji Pallonji, Sobha, Oberoi Realty, etc.)

- Strong understanding of bye-laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory processes governing land and project development
- Expertise in financial viability analysis, business planning, and board-level presentations
- Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for strategic and financial analysis
