Job Title: Assistant/Deputy Manager - Accounts

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Professional to join our finance team. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations and requires an individual with a deep understanding of retail accounting. The ideal candidate is a CA Inter with substantial experience in the lifestyle retail industry, possessing strong leadership and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Accounting & Compliance:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate finalization of books.
• Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations including GST filings, TDS deductions, and other tax compliances.
• Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and internal audits.

Retail-Specific Financial Management:

• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate valuation and landed cost calculations.
• Monitor daily financial transactions across multiple store locations including sales, stock adjustments, and expenses.
• Oversee reconciliations for payment gateways, banking transactions, and cash-on-delivery (COD) collections.
• Prepare and review Management Information System (MIS) reports, including P&L analysis, budgets, and forecasts for management review.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Supervise, mentor, and guide junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines.
• Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve process efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Chartered Accountant Intermediate is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the lifestyle retail industry, FMCG, Manufacturing

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems like SAP/Oracle) and advanced MS Excel functions.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, General Rules, GST, and TDS regulations.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Mature, detail-oriented, with high ownership and a process-driven approach.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and develop a team.
