Assistant General Manager/General Manager - Business Development - Electronic Manufacturing Services Industry
Job Description
:
To drive sustained revenue growth, strategic account acquisition, and market expansion for the EMS business (PCBA, Cables/ Wiring Harness, Box Build) by building strong customer relationships across B2B industrial segments, aligning customer needs with the organization's manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain capabilities.
Principal Accountabilities:
Business Growth & Revenue Leadership:
- Own order book growth, revenue pipeline, and new customer acquisition across identified B2B segments (Industrial, Energy, Medical, Telecom, Aerospace, etc.).
- Translate corporate growth strategy into annual and multi-year BD plans with clear targets.
Strategic Account Management:
- Build and nurture CXO-level relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 customers, and global sourcing teams.
- Lead key account strategies covering pricing, capacity planning, localization, and long-term contracts.
Market & Segment Development:
- Identify new industry verticals, geographies, and programs aligned to EMS capabilities.
- Track market trends such as Make in India, localization, supply-chain diversification, and China+1 opportunities.
Bid, Proposal & Commercial Leadership:
- Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP responses, business case creation, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure profitability through pricing discipline, margin analysis, and risk assessment
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure win-to-execution excellence.
- Champion Voice of Customer internally to drive capability building and continuous improvement.
Candidate Specs : 18-25+ years of experience in EMS / Contract Manufacturing / Industrial B2B sales or business development
- Proven success in complex, long-cycle B2B EMS sales (PCBA, boxbuild, Cable / wiring harness solutions, turnkey) with global and Indian OEMs

- Experience handling large deal negotiations and executive-level customer engagement
- Proficiency in CRM tools, and AI tools for market insights.
- Excellent cross-cultural skills for India-US operations; travel willingness (30-40%).
Candidate Requirement:
- B.E + MBA Preferred
- Strong presence in EMS industry and Managing the OEMs.
