Payment Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Payment Operations Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our global payment operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and process payments via different payment methods such as SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and Faster Payments.
• Oversee end-to-end global payment processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international regulations.
• Execute, monitor, and reconcile payments through various channels, including electronic funds transfer and online payment platforms.
• Conduct hands-on penny testing to validate new payment setups, ensure system accuracy, and confirm successful transaction flows before full-scale execution.
• Collaborate with payment service providers and financial institutions to optimize payment processes and resolve issues.
• Analyze and investigate exceptions and escalations, define root cause analyses (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze existing payment processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• 
  Implement enhancements to streamline global payment operations and enhance user experience.
• Manage and maintain payment-related schemas, ensuring accurate data mapping across systems and integrations.
• Build, review, and validate JSON schemas for payment routing, beneficiary details, and transaction workflows.
• Support testing and rollout of new payment routes and currencies, including configuration validation and end-to-end testing.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure schema changes and new routes are correctly implemented and backward-compatible.
• Monitor transactions in real time to identify failures, delays, or anomalies, and proactively take corrective actions to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in payment operations, preferably within a global workforce management or technology-driven environment.
• Familiarity with global payment processing systems and a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience with schema management, including building and maintaining data schemas for payment systems.
• Working knowledge of JSON structures and the ability to validate and troubleshoot payment-related payloads.
• Experience testing new payment routes, currencies, and configurations in staging and production-like environments.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams to translate business payment requirements into technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and rejection handling.
