Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Manager - Tax to join our finance team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian tax laws and regulations, with experience in corporate tax planning and compliance. This role involves managing tax-related activities, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, and supporting the organizations tax strategy.
Tax Compliance
- Manage and coordinate corporate income tax compliance in conjunction with local finance team and external service providers.
- Support the company’s local and global transfer pricing processes to ensure compliance with arms’ length guidelines and global transfer pricing policies
- Keep abreast of changes in tax statutes and regulations; coordinate research and evaluations with outside advisors and determine the impact on the company’s operations
- Working knowledge of indirect tax matters impacting the company in order to effectively support Indirect Tax Team on India-related matters
- Subject matter expertise to effectively manage corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax audits, SEZ and queries in a timely manner
- Prepare and review tax returns, including advance tax, TDS, and GST filings
- Knowledge of handing TP issues, corporate tax notices, appeals and GST and liaising with tax authorities as needed.
- Knowledge of SEZ units’ compliance, Individual tax issue and work with payroll team to resolve TDS notices.
- Prepare supporting workpaper and provide input to support the quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision process.
- Work with Finance team to reconcile the difference between US GAAP and statutory balance.
- Maintain regular communications with global tax team, providing clear visibility into all tax processes and escalating issues and developments as they arise
- Good analytical skills
- Effective time management to meet Monthly timelines or team objectives, completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Proficiency with desktop applications such as MS Office particularly in Excel
- Capability of handling confidential matters
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning

- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail

- Shows commitment to and performs consistently high-quality work
- CA/CA Inter qualification with specialization in taxation
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate taxation, preferably in a multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, including direct and indirect taxes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suit
