Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Intern to support the expansion of Pawmaxs retail and distribution network across India. The role involves identifying potential partners, initiating conversations with retailers and distributors, and assisting in building strong business relationships that support the growth of Pawmaxs ecosystem and product portfolio.

In addition to partner outreach, the role also provides exposure to operational aspects such as inventory coordination, order processing, invoicing, and dispatch management, offering a well-rounded understanding of how product distribution and marketplace operations work within a growing startup.

The internship will also provide hands-on exposure to basic ERP workflows using Odoo, helping interns understand how businesses manage inventory, orders, and operations through integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct lead generation and market research to identify potential retailers, distributors, and retail chains across India.
• Initiate outreach through calls, emails, and online platforms to introduce Pawmax and explore collaboration opportunities.
• Assist in building and maintaining a database of retail partners, distributors, and regional networks.
• Coordinate follow-ups with prospective partners and maintain communication records.
• Support the team in preparing basic presentations, proposals, and partner outreach material.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for expanding Pawmaxs private-label product distribution network.
• Support operational activities including inventory tracking and stock coordination.
• Assist in bulk order processing, invoicing coordination, and dispatch management for partner orders.
• Coordinate internally to ensure smooth order fulfillment and logistics follow-ups.
• Gain hands-on exposure to basic ERP processes (Odoo)

• Conduct basic competitor and market research within the pet care and retail sectors.
• Support meetings and discussions with potential retail and distribution partners.
• Occasionally assist in field visits to retailers or distributor locations when required.
