Merchant Operation Services Manager

Summary/ Objective

The Merchant Operation Services Manager is responsible for reviewing, assessing, and processing merchant onboarding applications. The role ensures all applications meet internal standards, card scheme requirements, and regulatory compliance prior to activation.

Key Responsibilities

Validate KYC/KYB checks, due diligence reviews, and merchant application risk assessments.

Ensure merchant files are compliant with Paytabs internal Policies, Visa, Mastercard, acquiring partners and local regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with risk, legal, and compliance teams to mitigate onboarding risks and set accurate risk mitigation tools in place.

Validate website content and online presence for card scheme compliance.

Track onboarding progress, ensure timely updates, and maintain accurate records.

Ensure configured new merchants, merchant identifiers under systems and ensure proper testing and actions are taken in accordance to SLA's.

Accommodate the ongoing maintenance requests for existing portfolio and ensure adherence to rules and set SLA's.

Lead, support, conduct projects associated with merchants portfolio in accordance to requirements.

Report suspicious applications or high-risk indicators to relevant stakeholders.

Assist in onboarding audits and internal quality assurance checks.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of experience in a PSP, acquiring bank, or fintech operations.

Experience in payment onboarding or underwriting roles preferred.

Required Competencies

Strong understanding of onboarding, compliance, and KYC/KYB procedures.

Working knowledge of Mastercard and Visa rules.

Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

Effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders.

Self-motivated and capable of handling high-volume workload.
