Contracts And Procurement Manager - Solar IPP And BESS

We are working for a large Industrial house with interests in Solar / Wind / BESS Storage Solution as. Developer / Generation Company.

The Contracts and Procurement Manager will lead the procurement and contract management functions for solar IPP and BESS projects. This role involves strategizing procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Indian renewable energy sector, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and compliance with local regulations. This position is critical for optimizing project costs, mitigating risks, and supporting timely project execution in a fast-paced environment.

This role is more towards IPP / Power Generation / Utility Contracts and not towards Solar Components or PV Modules Mfg or Modules sourcing contracts.

Location : Gurgaon (Corporate Office role)

Working : 5 Days a week.

Title: Manager - Contracts and Procurement - Capex Projects.

Qualification : BE/ BTech in Electrical / Mechanical

Ideal Candidate: Working in an IPP / EPC Company with Contracts / Project Procurement experience of Capex Projects for atleast 400 MW generation capacity.

CTC: Rs 15 Lpa to Rs 20 Lpa (Including Variable pay)

Gender : Diversity Candidates are preferred.

Lead the Tendering process, including pre-qualification of vendors, Preparation of RFPs (Requests for Proposals), Bid evaluation, and Contract awarding, ensuring transparency and competitiveness in line with Indian procurement norms.

Conduct market analysis for Solar IPP / Captive Projects and BESS Solution Providers in India and globally, optimizing supply chain for cost efficiency, quality, and reliability while addressing import duties, GST implications, and local content requirements under schemes like PLI (Production Linked Incentive).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Design Engineering, Project development, finance, and legal, to ensure procurement aligns with project milestones, risk management.

Mandatory: Ideal candidate has to be from Solar IPP / EPC Company. Candidates working in Module Mfg Companies with no prior experience in IPP Companies are not eligible.

This role is not for Legal Contracts or Legal Function. It is for Capex Contracts
