Quality & Process Lead - Manufacturing/Aerospace/Defence Domain
Job Description
Quality & Process Lead to drive product quality, process excellence, and compliance across (Test & Measurement System, Product Engineering Services, Automation, IT/IOT Development domains). domains, ensuring adherence to AS9100D / ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 standards, leading continuous improvement, and managing customer, supplier, and internal quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Compliance
- Oversee and execute quality control activities for (Test & Measurement System, Product Engineering Services, Automation, IT/IOT Development domains) of OSL products.
- Prepare and implement Quality Control Plans for all products.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100D / ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 standards and internal quality requirements.
- Monitor product quality across all lifecycle stages including production, integration, and testing.
Process Excellence & Standardization
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across functions.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and implement corrective improvements.
- Establish and monitor process KPIs to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of quality and process discipline across the organization.
Issue Resolution & CAPA
- Lead investigations into product and process-related quality issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Drive effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and ensure closure.
- Track recurring issues and implement systemic improvements.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Report quality and process performance metrics to senior management periodically.
- Highlight risks, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities.
- Enable data-driven decision-making for quality and process enhancements.
Customer Interface & FAT
- Act as the quality SPOC during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and customer audits.
- Ensure customer quality expectations and compliance requirements are met.
Team Development & Training
- Provide guidance and mentorship to QC/QA team members and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct internal trainings to promote quality awareness and process understanding.
Documentation & SOP Management
- Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and control of quality and process records.
Supplier Quality & Process Audits
- Plan and conduct supplier audits focusing on quality and process compliance.
- Evaluate supplier processes, identify gaps, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with OEPL standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Handle any other quality and process-related responsibilities as required from time to time.
Key Performance Indicators
- First Pass Yield (FPY %), defect rate (PPM), and overall product quality across lifecycle stages.
- Number of audit non-conformities and compliance level with AS9100D / ISO 9001/ ISO 27001.
- CAPA closure rate, average resolution time, and recurrence of quality issues.
- Process efficiency improvement (cycle time reduction %) and number of continuous improvement initiatives delivered.
- Customer complaints, FAT pass rate, audit observations, and customer satisfaction score (CSAT).
An Ideal candidate shall be
- 7-12 years of experience in Quality, Process Excellence, or Manufacturing (preferably aerospace/defence domain).
- Strong hands-on experience in QC/QA practices and Quality Management Systems aligned with AS9100D / ISO 9001 / ISO 27001.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary domains such as (Test & Measurement System, Product Engineering Services, Automation, IT/IOT Development domains).
- Proven expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies like Lean / Six Sigma.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 7-12 years of experience in Quality, Process Excellence, or Manufacturing/Defence domains.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D / ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 standards and process improvement methodologies

- Experience in supplier audits and quality management.
- Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
