Purpose of the position:

The Quality Assurance (Tester) position focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications, specifically in the .NET domain, with future expansion to web applications. The role involves converting manual tests into automated tests using a provided test framework, evaluating and documenting the results, and executing manual software tests while meticulously recording the outcomes. This position is crucial for maintaining high software quality standards and enhancing the efficiency of the testing process

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Designing and executing manual test cases for .NET and web applications
• Converting manual test cases into automated tests using a provided test framework
• Evaluating and documenting test results
• Reporting and tracking software defects
• Collaborating with developers to understand software requirements and functionalities
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of the test framework
• Providing training and support to new QA team members in India
• Participating in reviews and providing feedback on testability
• Supporting the reproduction of customer-reported bugs
• Conducting regular regression testing to ensure software stability
• 
  Reviewing and updating test cases to reflect changes in software requirements in close coordination with headquarters
• Preparing and presenting test reports and reporting back to QA Managers
• Participating in sprint review, planning and retrospective meetings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

• Proven experience in designing and executing manual test cases for software applications, particularly in the .NET domain and web applications.
• Proficiency in reporting and tracking software defects using tools such as Polarion, JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Collaboration: Experience working closely with developers to understand software requirements and functionalities.
• Documentation: Strong skills in evaluating and documenting test results, as well as maintaining detailed test documentation.
• Experience in test automation for PC software.
• Usage of commercial test frameworks, in paricular TestComplete (SmartBear) and Selenium/Cypress
• Experience in the field of industrial automation, in particular IEC 61131 languages, PROFINET networks, OPC UA

Education

• A bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Qualifications

• At least 1-3 years of experience in QA engineering or software testing, preferably in an Agile or Scrum development process
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester), are highly desirable.
