Quality Assurance Engineer | Playwright | Mid Level

  • Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
  • Full-Time On-Site Job.
  • 11 AM - 08 PM IST.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our collaborative team, focusing on developing and executing automated test cases for web applications using Playwright. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your test automation skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Case Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated UI, regression, and smoke tests.
  • Develop complex unit tests to verify functionality and performance.
  • Aim to write 10-12 tests per day, adjusting based on test complexity and priority.

Test Execution and Debugging:

  • Execute tests across multiple browsers (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit).
  • Troubleshoot and debug failed tests, collaborating with developers to resolve issues promptly.

Integration with CI/CD:

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Monitor test stability within CI/CD environments.

Mentorship and Collaboration:

  • Assist and mentor interns in test automation tasks.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to enhance their skills.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Write clean and reusable test scripts.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Suggest improvements for test coverage and reduce flaky tests.

Communication:

  • Participate in daily stand-ups, team meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Provide updates on tasks, blockers, and progress.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with Playwright; familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or Mocha is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) is advantageous.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to explain technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong debugging skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in software test automation.
