Key Account Manager

A role focused on servicing key accounts typically involves managing and enhancing relationships with existing corporate clients that provide group insurance benefits to their employees. Heres a general overview of the responsibilities and skills associated with such a position:

Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.

o Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients.

o Understand client needs and ensure timely delivery of solutions.

2. Policy Administration:

o Assist clients with the onboarding and renewal process for group insurance policies.

o Handle policy amendments, endorsements, and cancellations through the respective departments.

o Provide detailed explanations of terms, coverage, and exclusions.

3. Claims Assistance:

o Support clients and their employees with claims processing and resolution.

o Coordinate with the internal teams to ensure quick and accurate claim settlements.

4. Employee Engagement:

o Conduct workshops or webinars to educate employees on their insurance benefits & wellness benefits.

o Address queries from employees regarding their group insurance policies.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

o Ensure all transactions and interactions comply with regulatory standards.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of policies, claims, and correspondence.

6. Upselling and Cross-Selling:

o Identify opportunities to expand insurance coverage or offer additional products to clients.

o Collaborate with sales and product teams for customized solutions.

7. Feedback and Reporting:

o Gather feedback from clients to improve services and offerings.

o Prepare reports and presentations on policy performance and service metrics.

Key Skills:

Strong understanding of insurance products (e.g., health, life, disability).
