- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side applications using Node.js to ensure optimal performance and scalability. Collaborating with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders will be essential to implement new features and enhance existing functionality. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices. Participation in code reviews is required to maintain code quality and consistency within the development team. Troubleshooting and debugging issues across the application stack, including resolving performance bottlenecks, will be part of your responsibilities. Implementing security and data protection measures to ensure compliance with industry standards is crucial. You will also need to optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
As a qualified candidate, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field along with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Node.js Developer. Proficiency in server-side JavaScript programming using Node.js is required. A strong understanding of asynchronous programming, including Promises and async/await, is essential. Experience with RESTful API development and integration is preferred. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) would be beneficial. Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling is necessary. Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows is expected. A good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is important. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also key attributes for this role.
