Head Of Finance

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Head to act as the founders right hand, owning end-to-end finance across strategy, fundraising, operations and accounting/compliance. This is not a traditional finance manager role. The role sits at the intersection of business decisions, capital strategy, and financial control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

Partner with founders and leadership on pricing, GTM strategy, and margin decisions

Own unit economics across channels

Build and maintain SKU-level and channel-level profitability models

Support expansion decisions (new markets, products, geographies)

2. Fundraising & Investor Readiness

Lead financial preparation for VC / institutional fundraises

Own:

• Financial model (35 year)

Use-of-funds planning & tracking

• Investor pitch numbers & narratives

Maintain investor MIS, board decks, newsletters and data room

Support cap table management and ESOP tracking.

3. Financial Planning, MIS & Controls

Design and own startup-grade MIS, including:

• Weekly cash burn & runway
• Monthly operating metrics
• Budget vs actual analysis

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts

Drive financial discipline without slowing growth

4. Accounting, Audit & Compliance

Own end-to-end accounting through a dedicated finance team

Lead statutory audit closure and tax compliance

Work with external auditors, valuers, and advisors

Maintain monthly compliance tracker ensuring compliance fulfilment

5. Cash Flow, Working Capital & Treasury

Own liquidity planning and cash optimization.

Manage working capital across inventory-heavy operations.

Track burn rate and ensure adequate runway visibility at all times.

6. International Expansion Support

Support financial planning for international market entry

Work with advisors on cross-border compliance and reporting

What Were Looking For

35 years of experience in startup finance, FP&A, audit, or strategic finance

Strong understanding of startup processes

Hands-on experience with:

• Financial modelling
• Fundraising support
• MIS design

Ability to operate in ambiguity with ownership

Comfortable challenging founders with data-backed views

Advanced Excel / Sheets; familiarity with Tally, Zoho, or similar ERPs
