Legal Associate

As a Legal Associate, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the legal aspects of our business operations. You will draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your role will be pivotal in safeguarding our organizations interests and ensuring legal integrity in all our endeavours.
Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal notices.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure accurate and effective legal representation.
• Manage the entire legal process from initial consultation through final execution of documents.
• Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts and agreements, ensuring they are legally sound and aligned with the organizations interests.
• Establish standardised contract templates and processes to streamline contract management procedures.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards across all aspects of the organizations operations.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements and adapt policies and procedures accordingly.
• Manage and oversee litigation matters involving the organization, including disputes, claims, and lawsuits.
• Collaborate with external counsel to develop litigation strategies and represent the organizations interests in legal proceedings.
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Provide legal advice and support in crisis management situations.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Law or related field; additional certifications a plus.

Get Hired
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong Proficiency in English language (reading and writing).
• Strong ability to work independently and efficiently close assigned projects.
• Great understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Prior experience with the Corporate Legal team or a B2B IT work environment would be an added advantage.
