About The Hiring Company

About The Job Profile

Supported by the current team of 3, the incoming Finance Controller will lead and ensure the following for the business:

• End-to-end accounting including cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition


• Billing, AR, AP and GL (majorly AP)


• Data from the factories are well factored-in various processes and reports



• Reconciliation of quantity and monthly warehouse audits and related reporting


• Preparation and publishing of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances and monthly financial statements


• Regulatory reporting


• Regularly researching technical accounting issues for compliance


• Month-end and year-end closure


• Cost optimization


• Quality control in financial transactions and reporting


• Compliance with local, state, and central government reporting requirements


• Income tax and GST filings


• Payroll, PF and Gratuity management


• Banking


• Due diligence for fund/debt raising, including extensive preparation of reports and presentations for investor meetings (know-how of working/coordinating with venture capital or private equity partners is necessary)


• Represent the finance team at board/investor meetings along with the founding team

• Vendor/partner management


• Standardize processes and policies related to the finance function and/with a view to maintain and strengthen internal controls


• Train the team and keep them motivated at all times, and hire suitably to scale-up the team so that it is ready to meet the demands of the growing business

Qualifications

• Hustler; ready to work in a chaotic/unstructured environment; does not hesitate to do things on his/her own if/when required


• Experience at start-ups in the FMCG/consumer goods domain will be highly preferred


• CA, CMA or full-time MBA in Finance will be preferred


• Managerial experience in finance for a min. 3 to 5 years


• Overall experience of 8 to 12 years
