HR & Business Operations Officer (Part-time, Equity Only - No Pay Until Funding)
Job Description
We are looking for an HR & Business Operations Officer who will build and manage the people, processes, and execution engine of HiWox. This is not a traditional HR role — it is a high-ownership, cross-functional position where you will be responsible for team building, operational structuring, and driving execution across innovation and pilot programs.
You will work directly with the founder to take HiWox from an early-stage innovation startup to a structured, scalable organization.
Equity Structure (Important)
- This is a pure equity-based role (no fixed compensation initially)
- 3–4 rounds of discussions → 1-month NDA-based working cohort → Core team agreement
- Equity finalized post funding & Pvt. Ltd. registration
- 5-year vesting structure
- Fixed compensation begins post funding
- You will be part of a core 25+ member equity team being built
- Talent Acquisition & Team Building (Core Focus)
- Lead hiring across healthcare, innovation, tech, research, and operations roles
- Build pipelines for equity-based hiring and early-stage team formation
- Identify high-potential individuals aligned with innovation and execution mindset
- HR Systems & Culture Development
- Set up core HR processes including onboarding, performance tracking, engagement, and retention
- Build a research-driven, high-ownership culture
- Design systems for a remote-first, cross-functional team
- Business Operations & Execution Management
- Oversee execution of pilot programs, innovation projects, and collaborations
- Ensure coordination between product, research, marketing, and partnership teams
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in real-time
- Process Building & Standardization
- Create SOPs, workflows, and execution frameworks for innovation and deployment
- Bring structure to early-stage chaos and ensure repeatability and scalability
- Convert pilot learnings into structured operational models
- Incubation, Grants & Strategic Initiatives
- Support incubation of new healthcare innovations and ideas
- Assist in identifying and applying for grants, research programs, and partnerships
- Work on collaborations with institutions, healthcare providers, and ecosystem players
- Founders Office & Strategic Support
- Act as a bridge between strategy and execution
- Work directly with the founder on high-priority initiatives and rapid problem-solving
- Ensure accountability, timelines, and delivery across teams

- 1–4 years experience in HR, operations, or startup roles
- Strong interest in healthcare, innovation, or research-driven environments
- Ability to manage multiple functions and dynamic priorities
- High ownership mindset with strong execution and problem-solving skills
- Prior startup or early-stage experience is a strong advantage
- Combines HR + core business operations + innovation execution
