Section I: Job Summary
This position reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for leading overall cash management including debt & forex management functions of the organization and its affiliates. The person shall be responsible for developing and managing the strategies, operations and policies relating to treasury activities and financial risk management.
The candidate must be able to lead a team of Treasury professionals and cross-functional teams. Candidate must be analytical and possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Manage all cash management functions including foreign currency exposure and ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short term excess cash.
- Manage inter-company cash, including inter-company lending, dividends, and capital injections.
- Maintaining and cultivating the organisations financial institution relationships, negotiate bank charges and interest costs, leasing analysis and pricing.
- Implement new bank technologies, products and services to improve fund management and simplify company operations.
- Daily cash management, debt facilities management, interest rate risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies
- Foreign exchange risk management and development of foreign exchange risk mitigation strategies, forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements.
- Developing financial forecasts and monitoring financial health, recommending alternative financing strategies.
- Assisting FP&A with developing key inputs into the balance sheet, income statements and cash flow statements for annual plan.
- Liaising with senior management across the organisation and preparing management reports as per requirement
- Coordinates internal/external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Team management, assisting the team members in day to day operations, training the staff on developmental goals.
- Reviewing monthly journal entries and accruals, ensuring timely completion of month end closing activities
- Acts as an expert advisor on banking issues for the business units and other corporate functional areas.
- Challenge and oversee the existing control framework and build relationships with key individuals throughout the business and externally
Education Level:
CA with bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or management required
Experience Level:
Approximately 7-8 years of experience in managing treasury functions with a strong knowledge of banking operations/cash management.

- Sound understanding of accounting principles and understanding of financial markets

- Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other treasury software packages
- Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence.
- Experience of process improvements including how technology can be used to deliver efficiency, effectiveness and control to meet the defined business requirements.
