JOB DESCRIPTION – WEB SERVICES TESTING

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVE 

• 4-6 years of industry experience in web service testing 

• Experience in Web services testing along with web service automation (Added advantage)

• Proficient in developing automation test scripts using web services testing tools like Karate, Ready API,Restassured,SOAP UI.

• Hands on experience in writing scripts 

• Experience in SOAP UI integration with different databases from the front end. 

• Good command over SQL queries along with fair knowledge of databases.

• Experience in the extraction of test data using above mentioned tools

• Experience in testing multiple web services using above mentioned tools

  

• The candidate should be able to follow test scripts precisely.

• The candidate should be able to perform web service automation on a need basis.

• Good attention to detail to ensure test artifacts and processes are accurate. 

• Exposure to test reporting with good clarity and no ambiguity.

• Proficient in working with Jira or other Test Management tools

• Experience in developing test artifacts e.g. Test Plans, Test Cases & Bug Reporting.

• Exposure to Agile Methodology.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint.

• Fluent Business English (verbal & written) skills.

• Experienced in an Onshore/Offshore model, ability to work independently and with a team.

• Excellent Communication, Analytical and Problem solving skills

PREFERRED / GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience in test automation framework development through SOAP UI would be a plus.

• Experience in Rest API web services testing.

• Experience in XML schema & XSD.

• Good to have experience in testing message queues (JMS) using SOAP UI.

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and RestAssured

  Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using programming languages such as Java, Python, and Ruby

• Collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects and issues

• Creating and executing test plans and test cases to ensure API functionality and performance

• Designing and implementing API testing frameworks and strategies

• Establish & execute automated testing strategy through tools mentioned above

• Work closely with the functional team and implement web service automation as per need.

• Provide a comprehensive test report to management
