Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Statistical Math and Data Analytics Expert to join our team. As a senior member of our organization, they will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and leveraging advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets. Their expertise in statistical modeling, data analysis, and data visualization will help us in meeting our competencies strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Apply advanced statistical methodologies to analyze large and complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and relationships to extract valuable insights.
2. Develop and implement statistical models, algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques to solve complex business problems and support data-driven decision-making.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytical objectives, formulate research questions, and design appropriate experiments or surveys.
4. Design and conduct experiments to gather data, ensuring appropriate sampling methodologies and statistical rigor.
5. Perform statistical hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and validation of models to ensure robustness and accuracy.
6. Develop and implement data preprocessing techniques, data cleansing, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis.
7. Utilize advanced statistical software and programming languages (such as R, Python, or SAS) to perform data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
8. Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations. 
10. Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
1. Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
2. Proven track record of at least 6-8 years of experience in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and data analytics.
3. Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies, including regression analysis, time series analysis, clustering, classification, and experimental design.
4. Proficiency in statistical programming languages, such as R or Python, and experience with relevant libraries and packages (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
5. Experience in applying statistical techniques to real-world business problems, such as forecasting, demand analysis, customer segmentation, or optimization.
6. Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful and visually appealing presentations of data analysis results. - Nice to have
7. Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation. - Nice to have
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and apply statistical methods to solve complex challenges.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
