CAE Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:

• Automate CAE workflows such as meshing, simulation runs and data processing.
• Develop and evolve automation frameworks and tools using scripting and/or programming languages.
• Perform FEA and other simulations with automation to support product development.
• Validate the automated models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate automation in the discipline or value strea
  

workflows and improve simulation methodologies.

• Generate detailed reports and communicate simulation results effectively to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve simulation tools and methodologies by integrating new automation technologies.
  

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience with TCL/TK scripting and GUI development (1 year, customer-facing).
• Strong Python programming experience for automation/integration (APIs, ETL, packaging/testing) for interfacing with engineering/toolchain environments.
• Intermediate working experience with CAE/CAD/PLM tools: HyperMesh, NASTRAN, CATIA, and Teamcenter
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and terminology.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Experience
Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of other programming languages such as C++, or Java.
• Experience with web-based GUI development technologies like XML, CSS, AJAX.
• Familiarity with software development tools like Git, Docker, Agile methodologies.
• Understanding networking and cloud platforms is beneficial.
• Experience with version control systems and continuous integration.
