Job Description
- As a Senior Software Tester with 5-6 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in our Quality Assurance team, ensuring that software applications meet the required quality standards before deployment. Your responsibilities will include reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback, developing and executing test cases for manual testing, identifying and tracking defects using bug-tracking tools, collaborating with various team members to ensure functionality and quality standards are met, and conducting regression tests to maintain existing functionality integrity. Additionally, you will prepare detailed test documentation, assist in setting up automated test scripts, and contribute to improving software quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents for timely feedback.
- Develop, document, and execute test cases for manual testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct regression tests to maintain existing functionality.
- Prepare detailed test cases, test plans, and reports.
- Assist in setting up automated test scripts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-6 years of manual software testing experience.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall methodologies, and QA processes.
- Proficiency in bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Understanding of SDLC and basic SQL knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for improving software quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with basic test automation tools like Selenium or Postman.
- Understanding of web-based, mobile, and desktop application testing.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
