Job Description
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Tester / QA Tester to be a part of our team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our products by identifying, documenting, and reporting defects. This role will entail a combination of manual and automated testing to guarantee that the software meets the highest standards in terms of functionality, usability, and performance. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts. You will conduct both manual and automated testing to detect software defects and inconsistencies, as well as perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Collaborating closely with developers and product teams, you will troubleshoot issues and ensure timely fixes. Additionally, you will utilize testing tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman, or similar frameworks, and document test results while tracking bugs for proper follow-up. Cross-browser and cross-device testing for web applications and validation of API responses using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar will also be part of your role. Working in tandem with stakeholders, you will define testing requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables. Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks to streamline testing processes and ensuring software compliance with industry standards and best practices.
To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and have at least 2 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. A strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle is essential. Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc., along with experience in API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, and knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter and LoadRunner are required. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, basic knowledge of SQL for database testing, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are also important for this role.
