POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and expanding our client base. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and securing contracts for our event management services. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales and business development within the events or related industries, a deep understanding of event management services, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve company growth objectives. Identify potential market segments and target clients, and devise strategies to penetrate these markets effectively.

-Client Prospecting and Lead Generation: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities. Proactively generate leads through networking, cold-calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms.

-Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their event needs and requirements. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert advice and solutions to meet their event goals.

-Proposal Development

: Prepare compelling and tailored event proposals, presentations, and pitches to showcase our event management services, capabilities, and unique value propositions.

-Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties while adhering to company policies and objectives.

-Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including event planners, marketing, creative, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of client events and a consistent brand experience.

-Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales pipeline, revenue projections, and client conversion rates to the senior management team.

-Industry Networking: Build a strong network within the event industry and related sectors to stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.

-Client Retention and Upselling: Nurture existing client relationships to drive repeat business and upsell additional event management services based on their evolving needs.

-Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to drive innovation and adapt our services to meet changing client expectations.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor&aposs degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.

-Proven track record (3-4 years) in business development, sales, or account management within the events or related industries.

-Strong understanding of event management services, event planning processes, and industry best practices.

-Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and negotiate effectively.

-Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
