IT Procurement Manager

Purpose of this Role:
This is a GURUGRAM based role to manage end-to-end procurement of Data Center IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, Fiber connection from multiple ISP, security, racks, structured cabling, licenses and associated services, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, contractual compliance and alignment with project schedules and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. IT & DC Infrastructure Procurement:
- Handle procurement of Servers, Storage, HCI
- Network devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers etc)
- Racks, KVM, PDU (IT side), structured cabling etc
- Software licenses, OS, virtualization, backup, monitoring tools
- IT accessories and peripherals for DC environment
- Fiber connection from ISPs
- Rate Contract for IT devices and infrastructure

- Handle CAPEX and OPEX procurement distinctly.
- Work closely with IT, Design, Business Development, Project and Operation teams to understand technical BOQs and specifications
2. Techno-Commercial Responsibilities:
- Floating RFQs/RFPs based on detailed BOQs.
- Conduct detailed techno-commercial comparison with OEMs and system integrators.
- Evaluate compatibility, scalability, and lifecycle aspects along with commercials.
- Drive standardization of OEMs and products across Data Centres
- Sign up Software License / IT infrastructure agreement
- Finalize POs, rate contracts and procurement terms
- Maintain procurement MIS, vendor database, price history.
- Ensure GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in procurement.
- Digitization of procurement process
3. OEM & SI Relationship:
- Direct coordination with OEMs and maintain relationship
- Manage System Integrators (SI) and channel partners
- Price negotiations, deal registrations and discount optimization
- Ensure back-to-back warranty, support and SLA alignment
Competencies Required:
- Strong understanding of Data Center IT infrastructure components
- Ability to read and understand IT BOQs and technical specs
- Strong techno-commercial negotiation skills
- Vendor/OEM management expertise
- Knowledge of DC project lifecycle
- Understanding of warranty, AMC, and SLA structures
- Good knowledge of ERP / procurement tools and digitization of procurement process
- B.E. / B.Tech in IT, Electronics, or Computer Engineering with 56 years of exclusive experience in IT procurement, specifically for Data Center IT infrastructure
- MBA from a good institute would be a big plus
