We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to drive the technical sales process for our Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data science principles, machine learning algorithms, and AI technologies, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, demonstrating the value of our solutions, and building strong relationships with prospective clients. As an individual contributor, you will work closely with the sales and product teams to drive revenue growth through your technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Expertise:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospective clients during the sales cycle.
  • Understand customer business challenges and translate them into technical solutions using our Data Science, ML, and AI offerings.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) projects to showcase the value of our solutions.
  • Respond to technical questions and RFPs/RFIs with clear, concise, and accurate information.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and discovery sessions to understand client requirements.
  • Articulate the technical value proposition of our solutions and differentiate them from competitors.

Solution Development & Customization:

  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to meet specific customer needs.
  • Develop custom demos and POCs to demonstrate the capabilities of our platform.
  • Provide feedback to the product team on market trends and customer requirements to inform product roadmap decisions.

Sales Enablement:

  • Develop and maintain sales collateral, including presentations, demos, case studies, and white papers.
  • Train the sales team on the technical aspects of our solutions and how to effectively communicate their value.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI technologies.

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at prospective client organizations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets.
  • Track and report on pre-sales activities and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and close deals.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting role focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting technical sales engagements and contributing to closing deals.

Technical Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of data science principles, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and AI technologies (e.g., NLP, computer vision).
  2. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
  3. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  4. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  5. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  6. Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong business acumen and understanding of sales processes.
