What Youll Do

• Detective Work: Evaluate and execute testing procedures to uncover hidden defects and ensure software quality
• Script Development: Create comprehensive test plans and scripts that validate software functionality
• Problem Solving: Isolate, reproduce, and track defects through resolution
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including developers and automation engineers
• Data Mastery: Prepare complex data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows
• Verification: Validate that fixes address the root cause without introducing new issues
• Documentation: Record testing processes and results with precision and clarity

• Works with the Enterprise Technology QA Team on software development projects and systems reviews of varying magnitude.
• Evaluates and executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
• Develops and writes testing scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected.
• Prepares complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects.
• Participates in Requirements reviews (Business, Technical, Functional, and Design), evaluates and generates test cases, write test scripts and estimates target completion dates.
• Prepare and/or locate test data to meet test case criteria.
• Meet script execution goals as outlined and directed by team lead.
• Update and maintain test scripts as necessary
• Assists with validating changes migrated to all test environment(s) appropriately, and/or new environment(s) connectivity, and confirm environment test readiness for various QA test phases.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Automation Team Engineers, to develop effective test strategies, scripts, and test plans.
• Verifies fixes.
• Communicates with software development teams and provides defect troubleshooting assistance and resolution.

• Participate in team or project meetings as directed by Team Lead.
• Documents testing according to required procedures.
• Documents results and uses designated systems and tools to track outcomes.
• May present outcomes to team.
• Assists in developing quality control policies and evaluates software production limitations.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
• Expert-level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Strong knowledge of structured development environments
• Experience with test management tools like HP ALM (Quality Center)
• Self-motivation and ability to inspire others
• Project management experience and independent work ethic
• Efficiency-focused mindset with process improvement ideas
