About The Role
The Practice Head – Managed Services role is a national role responsible for the growth and development of Rapyder’s Managed Services across our two Solution Practices – Cloud (AWS & Azure) and Security.
Reporting to CCOE/BU Head. Role is based in our Bangalore office.
Roles And Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
A
- Attain margin and revenue contribution targets for Managed Services in our 2 Practices – Cloud and Security
- Develop a yearly sales plan with Managed Services goals and deliverables to be included in Rapyder’s overall Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Develop and train the field sales team to the highest level of proficiency in the selling and delivering of Rapyder’s Managed Services positioning and value proposition
- 4 Develop and distribute sales toolkits, including a Rapyder Managed Services corporate presentation, datasheets, collateral, reference stories, proposal templates and an updated website.
- Develop and identify new Managed Services opportunities across all regions, across all vertical markets o Leverage existing Rapyder field sales team and our existing & potential customer base.
- Prospect for new Managed Services opportunities
- Support, attend and manage sales calls for Managed Services as required
- Define, build and report on a weekly basis, the appropriate leading indicators needed to measure, track and forecast Managed Services growth
- End to end ownership of Managed Services opportunities sales cycle.
- Work closely with the Managed Services’ operational teams to improve our quality of service and the customer’s experience
- Identify and recruit top talent for MS team expansion
- Develop and enhance processes across multiple departments, including Professional Services, Project Management and Finance, to ensure successful & timely onboarding, initialization and billing of Managed Services contracts
- Own the Managed Services growth & new business target across the country.
- Assist our Product Managers in producing material that defines the Rapyder’s Managed Services posture and capabilities.
- 24x7 NOC and SOC capability (# of staff, skill level, certifications)
- SLA (uptime, penalty calculations and payouts, exclusions)
- Managed Services tools
- Escalation procedures
- Incident and Change Management process
- Assist our Sales Regional Directors in defining and creating new Managed Services offerings to capture additional market share.
- Assist our Sales Regional Directors in enhancing our existing Managed Services offerings to maintain relevance and competitiveness in today’s marketplace

- Define, build and execute a full marketing program focused on growing Rapyder’s Managed Services across the country
- Integrate with Rapyder’s existing corporate marketing plan
- Create and execute independent, yet complementary marketing campaigns focused on growing Managed Services
- Build Rapyder’s Managed Services brand across the country
- Identify new prospects and accounts for Rapyder’s Managed Services offerings and capture them within CRM
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in selling IT/ Cloud Managed Services business
- Must have an existing network of prospective clients to close the deals quickly.
- Ability to build direct relations with IT Heads / Decision Makers
- Experience working with Direct Clients/ Tier 1 Clients / Prime Vendors / Implementation Partners / MSPs
- Proven successful sales record in Managed Services and Consulting Industry.
- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales expectations.
- Strong presentation and closing skills.
- High level of energy, with an outgoing personality.
