Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Management/Leadership oversight of the engineering finance function, working closely with the US Engineering Finance teams and Corporate entity in India.
- Coordination and evaluation of a harmonized activity rate model, working closely with the US Engineering Finance teams
- Determining financial objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate continuous process improvements to ensure we implement best practices (policies will need to be common across UTCIPL entity and governance will be at the entity level)
- Ability to make effective presentations to the stake holders, interact with finance and top management teams globally,
- Developing business plans and strategies for maximizing profitability & revenue generation & realize organizational goals.
- Formulating budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions
- Managing the timely preparation and presentation of statutory books of accounts, financial statements and annual reports, ensuring conformance to regulatory accounting standards, specific to the engineering team and with alignment to corporate entity level
- Ensure internal financial controls environment is established and in compliance with US GAAP, SOX and international legal statutory requirements, working along with corporate entity team to set engineering related controls and ensure execution of those controls.
- Ensuring support to the corporate entity for timely filing of returns such as TDS, Sales Tax, Excise, Service Tax and Income Tax as per the relevant acts & interfacing with Tax Auditors and regulatory authorities for assessments and remittances, as required.
- 'Liaising with the regional finance teams and external advisors as required
- Preparing funds flow and cash flow statements for the engineering entity, to monitor the inflow & outflow of funds and ensure optimum utilization of available funds towards the accomplishment of corporate goals.
- Ascertaining the fund requirements for engineering entity after careful analysis
- Liaising with the UTCIPL legal entity for the India Engineering Center located in Bengaluru including but not limited to support for preparing financial balance sheets, providing complete financial updates to corporate entity etc
Qualifications
- CA/ICWA with 10-15 years of relevant experience in a financial environment leading teams
- Alternatively: BS/BA or MBA Preferably in the areas of Finance, Business or Accounting
- Global MNC experience, with a cost center model environment
- Strong GAAP/IAS knowledge (reporting requirements -- US-local versions) IFRS knowledge
- Keen international business acumen and working knowledge of foreign exchange principles
- Experience in Business Planning, Transfer pricing model, Financial Management, Accounting, Budgeting, MIS, Taxation, Capex, handling multiple stake holders and people management.
- Strong understanding of an ERP Process (SAP preferred) with implementation experience
- Strong sense of personal responsibility in accomplishing the organization's goals within the deadline.
- Strong measure of sensitivity for people and team work
