Job Description
The SRE & Systems team at RealPage is a global team responsible for the support, provisioning, and de-provisioning of multiple open-source application environments. As an Engineer I, you will report to the Sr. Manager of SRE & Systems and will be involved in the provisioning, de-provisioning, and support of various open-source application infrastructure environments. This role requires flexibility to work in shifts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support and manage various Linux systems.
- Provide Linux support in an IT environment, preferably within a technical industry (Server Deployment, Monitoring & Support).
- Work with GCP/OCI environments.
- Utilize Ansible and Ansible Towers for tasks such as playbook creation, inventory management, scheduling, and repository management.
- Implement and manage clustering technologies, server farming techniques, load balancing, and F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing solutions.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery techniques, including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery.
- Employ automation technologies for rapid deployment of server builds and software deployment.
- Install and configure applications such as Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, and LDAP.
- Provide governance and oversight to guide implementation towards solution delivery.
- Guide and mentor the team to successfully deliver projects.
- Contribute to and review deployment plans; schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment.
- Lead analytical and design activities with approved/validated technologies in line with organizational standards and approaches.
- Align IT security and IT operations teams to ensure that all processes, including DevOps processes, operate safely and securely.
- 0 to 2 years of experience working on various Linux systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Working knowledge of GCP/OCI environments.
- Experience with Ansible and Ansible Towers (Playbook, Inventories, Scheduling, Repo, etc.).

- Develop and execute automated builds and releases, benchmark industry standards and processes to ensure efficient and quality delivery and deployments.
