About the role

Pivotal to our ability to deliver on our commitments, youll be responsible for accurate demand forecasting. From setting up New Products forecast algorithms, to ensuring the proper forecast models are being used, the Statistical Demand Planner will be an expert in statistical modeling, using E2E planning tools, and collaborating closely with the demand planning teams to ensure the Forecasting output to the commercial business will provide a best in class baseline forecasts. Youll have the tools to gain insights from the commercial market - such as consumption sales at our retailers, promotional activity, and historic trends that will aid in understanding the impact on demand. Youll have the autonomy to challenge when necessary. Critically, youll provide clear communication between our demand planning teams, sales, as well as supply and manufacturing teams.

Your responsibilities

Receive requirements for setting up and maintaining product skus within the forecasting tool
. Prepare statistical forecasts across the assigned portfolios in an effort to help maintain a strong baseline forecast
. Use internal and external intelligence that will help make a prediction of demand for a tactical (1-6 months) and strategic forecast (7-24 rolling months)
. Establish a weekly process of using exception-based planning reports to adjust forecasts as necessary, holding to the thresholds of RBs Key Performance Indicators.
. Hold bi-weekly consensus meetings with respective Demand Planner/Jr Demand Planner to address any changes to the statistical models.
. Use the analytical, marketing, and sales data of an item/customer/brand to effectively estimate future product demands
. Generate forecast solutions for business partners and help train Demand Planning end users on the system and logic
. Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.

The experience were looking for

• College Degree in related field.
• Deep understanding of statistical algorithms.

  Get Hired
  Well versed in forecasting systems ( SAP, JDA, Excel, etc).
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
