Job Description

The Red Hat Consulting team is seeking a Technical Service Manager with a strong background in hybrid cloud platforms, cloud-native development, and middleware offerings to join the team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting sales efforts for the Indian market by creating solutions and delivering compelling recommendations to Red Hat's customers. Your expertise will help customers make strategic investments in solutions that enable them to achieve greater flexibility, efficiency, and speed in their operations. As a Technical Service Manager, you must possess in-depth technical knowledge, a genuine passion for open source, a keen understanding of business processes, and the ability to develop and implement enterprise-level business solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be a pivotal component of the initial customer experience with Red Hat.
You will be responsible for managing incoming sales inquiries, coordinating service team responses, and developing proposals for customers. Collaborating closely with partners to enhance project value, negotiating rates and project costs, and crafting statements of work (SoWs) with the regional services manager will be part of your daily tasks. Providing booking forecasts, ensuring the engagement of suitable delivery associates with the local services delivery manager, participating in account strategy sessions, and meeting or surpassing assigned sales targets are key responsibilities in this role.

To excel in this position, you should have a background in selling intricate customer solutions in a dynamic technological landscape. A minimum of 3 years of experience concentrating on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Knative, Serverless, Apache Kafka, Istio, Service Mesh, EKS, AKS, Mulesoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc., is required. Extensive familiarity with Hyperscalers, cloud consumption models, agile development, DevOps foundation, and the ability to lead transformation initiatives are essential. Exceptional storytelling skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency in presentations to executives, and a history of consultative customer engagement are highly valued. A solid technical background in cloud-native and container technologies, agile methodologies, experience with IT transformation, and the capacity to sell solutions in a multi-product environment are also sought after. Proven success in working with global cross-functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction, as well as a balance of strategic and tactical skills, are key attributes for this role.
