Data Insights Specialist

Position Summary
The Data Insights Specialist will collaborate with the groups not only within Service Delivery but also other teams like Customer Solutions & Proposals, Data Science, Digital Product and drive work product improvements to socialize across team. We are looking for someone who can convert Redaptive meter data into actionable insights, ideate and contribute to R&D initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to leverage his/her judgement grounded in building science principles to make decisions and display empathy and resilience in the process.
Job Responsibilities

• Understanding and analyzing the data from:
• Energy meters
• Site audit reports/ Utility bills (energy use baselining/benchmarking) o Equipment specifications
• As-built Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Drawings
• Understand and interpret operation/health status of HVAC-R equipment from different electrical parameters, international HVAC/Indoor Thermal Comfort/Energy Efficiency standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 55).
• Diagnose HVAC and building system performance issues using interval KW data (asset level and whole building level data).
• Develop strategies to build analytics around system performance.
• Develop and perform energy use/savings calculations on common building systems and other building efficiency-related measures including Roof Top Units (RTUs), Air handling units (AHUs), Heat Pumps, Boilers, Chillers, etc.
• Consult with internal customers to develop analyses and Power Point presentations, which lead to actionable insights.
• As-built review and mis-match resolution prior to initial savings report generation.
• Coach junior team members to operate effectively across task streams
• Ideate, discuss and initiate new ways of working leveraging technology resources and intra company collaborations
• 
  Be actively involved in planning of project deliveries pursuant to timelines and resource availability
  

Job Requirements

• Capability to prepare technical guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Application of basic electrical parameters i.e., power quality, harmonics, power factor, etc.
• Understand and analyze different industrial equipment (e.g., air compressor, battery charger, conveyor etc.) and their operation.
• Understand and interpret operation/health status of HVAC-R equipment from different electrical parameters, international HVAC/Indoor Thermal Comfort/Energy Efficiency standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 55).
• Must be comfortable handling and organizing large quantities of information.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and mathematics.
• Able to thrive in a startup environment and work with a high degree of autonomy.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors in an engineering field (preferably Mechanical/Industrial engineering), but other technical areas of study considered with strong experience
• Masters in building Energy Efficiency/Energy Management/Sustainability will be an added advantage.
• Prior experience of guiding staff and spearheading initiatives is preferred
• Experience (5 with M Tech or 7 years with B Tech) in Building Energy Efficiency/Facility Optimization/Energy Management Systems.
• Experience modeling and optimizing energy usage of multiple building systems including but not limited to HVAC, Lighting is preferred; ability to upskill and model new equipment is preffered.
• Knowledge of Python or Tableau is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of IPMVP based M&V methodology.
• Utility data analysis.
• Experience/exposure with scalable platforms for enterprise energy analytics dashboard.
• Relevant certifications like CEM/CMVP would be an added advantage.
