Job Description
- As a Backend Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and developing scalable backend services using Node.js/Express.js. Your responsibilities will include leading complex feature development from conception to deployment, optimizing application performance, and implementing caching strategies. You will be tasked with designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture while implementing security best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making, collaborating closely with product managers to define technical specifications.
To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of professional experience with Node.js and Express.js. A strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and ES6+ features is essential, along with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture. Your extensive experience with MongoDB/PostgreSQL and database optimization, proficiency in API design, RESTful services, and microservices, as well as familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ/Redis) and caching mechanisms will be highly valued. Moreover, a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), experience with AWS/Cloud services, and serverless architecture are key technical requirements. Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest and Mocha is also expected.
In addition to technical skills, you should possess essential skills such as system design and architectural patterns, performance optimization, debugging, code review, technical documentation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, as well as team leadership and mentoring abilities. While experience with GraphQL, React/Vue.js, contribution to open-source projects, real-time applications using Socket.io, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies are considered nice-to-have, they are not mandatory.
