Repton Dubai is seeking to appoint an Exams Officer Support & Secondary Cover Supervisor to start August 2025.

To support the effective organisation, administration, and delivery of all internal and external examinations across the secondary phase of the school. During quieter examination periods, the role will include providing high-quality lesson cover for absent teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning and supervision in line with school policies. Although training can be provided by experts in both these areas for a candidate with the right skills set, experience in these roles would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Examinations Support (Under the direction of the Exams Officer)
- Assist in the preparation and administration of all internal and external examinations (e.g., IGCSE, A Level, BTEC, and school-wide assessments).
- Support the setting up of examination rooms and ensure JCQ and awarding body regulations are upheld.
- Prepare candidate lists, seating plans, and exam materials.
- Maintain accurate records, including candidate entries, access arrangements, timetables, and exam results.
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure timely receipt of assessment materials and coursework.
- Support the training and coordination of invigilators.
- Provide administrative support during key results periods and post-results services.
Secondary Cover Supervision
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons during teacher absence to ensure continuity of student learning.
- Supervise students during cover lessons, managing behaviour and ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Ensure all instructions from the absent teacher are followed and any issues are reported accordingly.
- Provide feedback to subject leaders regarding student engagement and any incidents that occur during lessons.
- Maintain classroom order, promote positive behaviour, and encourage student participation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in a school environment, ideally within exams administration or as a teaching assistant/cover supervisor or similar.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and assessment frameworks (JCQ, Pearson, Cambridge, etc.) is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow examination regulations.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work calmly under pressure.
- Confident in managing classroom behaviour and supporting secondary students.
