Central India Certification Senior Lead Auditor

RINA is currently recruiting for a Central India Certification Senior Lead Auditor to join its office in Mumbai within the International Certification Division.

The role focuses on planning, execution, and management of audits within our certification business, leading large and complex customer engagements, ensuring effective audit processes, compliance with standards, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Accountabilities

• Audit Program: Prepare, manage, and control the audit program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Document Review: Conduct thorough reviews of customer management system documents, including manuals, procedures, instructions, files, and records, to verify compliance and accuracy. Audit Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of audits and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Participate in and lead audits, conducting interviews, note-taking, and assessing the implementation of management systems. Audit Result Definition: Identify and define audit results (Positive and negative findings as non conformities, opportunity of improvement); Report Generation: Draw up comprehensive audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for certification decisions. Follow-Up Management: Manage the follow-up process, including tracking non-conformities and corrective actions, ensuring resolution and compliance. Technical Review and Certification: Conduct technical reviews of audit files and propose certification decisions based on thorough analysis. Skill Maintenance: Keep skills, qualifications, and certifications up to date by staying informed about industry standards and best practices. Resource Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of resources involved in the certification process, providing guidance and support as needed. Data Management: Maintain updated records of customer data and other information relevant to the audit process. Customer Engagement: Manage technical meetings with customers, fostering positive relationships and addressing any technical concerns. Large and Complex Customer Management: Independently manage large and complex customer contracts, ensuring the effective delivery of multiservice and/or multisite audits.
  

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in auditing, quality,, environment & health & safety management systems, or certification processes, ideally within regulated industries.
• Extensive knowledge of audit program management, document review techniques, and the implementation of management systems.
• Proven ability to plan, lead, and execute audits, managing complex and large-scale audit activities across multiple services or sites.
• Strong expertise in defining audit results, identifying non-conformities, and recommending opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to generate detailed audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations for certification decisions.
• Experience in managing follow-up processes, tracking corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Expertise in conducting technical reviews and supporting certification decisions based on comprehensive audits.
• Continuous commitment to maintaining qualifications and staying updated on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes.
