Manager/Assistant Vice President - Operations/Fund Accounting
Job Description
This role is for the Fund Operations Industry and includes functions like Delegate Oversight, Delegate Oversight Distribution, Product Governance Regulatory, Financial Reporting Oversight Teams. The incumbent needs to understand all these processes and laws of the regions supported and perform day to day work in accordance with procedures set.

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant/ACCA/CMA/CPA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met
- Ensure Quality targets are met
- Ensure all task procedures are followed by the team. On an ongoing basis, ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams across geographical locations.
- Support the continued creation of the efficient operating model, ensuring India hub is established with appropriate controls
- Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service
- Provide a contact point and/or assistance with queries from key contacts.
- Identify instances of non-compliance and refer to the Senior Managers, and the Compliance Department, and resolve them.
- Maintain staff training and competence standards with regular 1-1 and team meeting.
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of the investment industry.
- Develop in-depth understanding of the process and department.
- Able to represent the Department/Organisation in various forums
- Assisting in responding to regular reviews/audits and Compliance Visits.
- Champion any change or improvement initiative by the Organisation
- Emerging risks are identified, assessed, and captured within the departmental risk register and, where appropriate, subject to escalation to senior management.
- Operational controls are carried out in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures.
- Periodic assessments and test of effectiveness of Internal Controls

- Actions for improvements are dealt in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Create and maintain KPI and performance dashboards
- Work closely with HR department in Hiring process i.e. Conducting interviews, budgeting etc
- Should monitor FTE Utilisation closely and inform to Senior Management in case of variances, excess capacity or shortfall
People Leadership:
- To be a mentor to the Team Leaders or colleagues who need assistance
- Work collaboratively across the firm to achieve the Goals of the team / company
- Motivate the team to ensure talent retention and create positive work culture
- Manage leaves, shrinkage, and other parameters as per company standard
- Design KPI of the Team Leads and Members in line with Company and department goals
- Understand the performance appraisal and bonus/incentive policies of the Organisation and successfully administer performance management cycles
- Optimum utilization of Reward and Recognition programme to create 'High Performance Culture'
- Ensure team participates in Fun and other Organisation wide activities
