Commercial Finance Manager

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Commercial Manager will be responsible for handling complete financial and commercial operations related to Plant/ Factory. He/She will be based in Kolkata (HO) & leading a team of Manufacturing Executives based in plants.

Key Responsibilities

A. Commercial Operations Management

• Oversee all commercial functions related to manufacturing plants, regional offices, and warehouses.
• Provide financial support for plant commissioning and ensure compliance with commercial processes.
• Conduct monthly plant audits and quarterly CFA (Carrying & Forwarding Agent) audits.
• Manage RM (Raw Material), PM (Packaging Material), and FG (Finished Goods) movement and monitoring.
• Oversee return logistics and validate claims from CFAs and plants.

B. Inventory & Process Control

• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits at plants and CFAs.
• Ensure GRN (Goods Receipt Note) accuracy for RM/PM and FG movements.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and Batch Management processes.
• Manage scrap stock disposal processes at CFAs.

C. Expense & Compliance Management

• Monitor operating expenses and establish financial control processes.
• Validate CFA and plant claims and ensure timely processing.
• Oversee CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and secondary freight control.

D. Production Process & Cost Optimization

• Analyze and control plant wastage and yield.
• Manage expiry stock and scrap disposal at plants and CFAs.
• Verify conversion cost bills and ensure timely submission to HO.
• Maintain accurate production records.

E. Warehouse & Fixed Asset Management

• Implement controls for stock management, credit control, and budgetary compliance.
• Develop Capex spend plans aligned with business expansion.
• Conduct physical verification of assets at defined intervals.

F. Strategic & Cost Optimization Initiatives

• Lead cost reduction and profitability improvement projects.
• Develop and circulate SOPs for Accounts and Commercial processes.
• Support SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Manufacturing claims processing.
• Drive process improvements for long-term financial efficiency

Essential Qualifications & Competencies

• Education: CMA / CA with 4-9 years of experience in FMCG, Food Processing, or Manufacturing industries.
• Experience: Strong background in manufacturing plant finance and commercial operations.
