The Senior Accountant manages accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Develops and implements accounting policies and procedures in conformance with current FASB and SEC guidance. Manages compliance of Accounting processes within GAAP and company standards guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities:
Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the organization
Manages the hiring, staffing and maintenance of an effective workforce
Responsible for career development/planning, performance and remuneration of team members
Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue
Oversees the analysis and reporting of accounting data for both external reporting and internal Management decision making/analysis
Develops, implements, and maintains systems, procedures, and policies
Participates in annual audits and special projects
Works with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes
