Position Summary:


RSI Content Solutions India provides highly configurable, dynamic publishing platforms for optimizing modern end-to-end publishing processes. These robust Content Management Systems can deliver complete in-house control over organizations’ business content production. RSI Content Solutions also offers software development and technical consulting services to implement content management systems and workflows. RSI is based out of Chennai, India and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orbis Technologies Inc. headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, USA.

The Senior Controller, India Operations will work alongside the C-Level executives to oversee our corporate accounting team and manage corporate finance and accounting policies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:





  • Responsible for ensuring Accounts Receivables/Invoicing and Accounts Payable meet Corporate Key Performance Indicators (e.g., Cash by Month, AR/AP aging, Rate forecasting – OH, G&A, Employee Productivity, Revenue by product, by vertical, by country, etc.).

  • Oversee Accounting processes, polices, and the enforcement of corporate accounting policies.

  • Work directly with external audit teams on annual financial audits and tax payments.

  • Oversee the Accounting team responsible for all aspects of accounting (reviewing timecards, processing travel requests, reconciling credit cards, validating approvals, project set-up, etc.) and payroll operations.

  • Work with HR on benefits renewals, in case these are assigned to the India back-office teams

  • Working closely with the Managing Director and International Controller in building, managing, and placing controls on business units and overall company budget.

  • Oversee the accounting management system and drive insights for optimal financial performance

  • Support corporate acquisitions, as needed.

  • Lead a culture of engagement within the operating unit team.

  • Collaborate and be responsible for updating financial statements resulting from the bi-monthly reporting of operating unit performance.

  • Work with C-Level executives on Accounting related issues related to International Subsidiaries.

  • Coordinate and/or prepare internal and external presentations.

  • Collaborate and deliver updated service pricing, support for proposals, as needed.

  • Provide data to the operations and business units and/or guidance on revenue recognition, cost analysis\reporting, asset analysis, and subsidiary financial reporting.

  • Responsible for the weekly updates to the Revenue and Cost Forecast.

  • Responsible for charge numbers – ensure accurate charging and reporting of hours while collaborating with the Contract Management function.

  • Responsible for policies associated with Charging, Delegations to Subsidiaries, etc.

  • Adhere to deadlines for providing data on monthly actuals and invoicing, tax forecasting, and timely payments.


Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:





  • Indian citizenship and passport and not restricted to travel to any country

  • Chartered Accounting certification from ICAEW (UK) or ICAI (India) or CPA (AICPA)

  • Must be aware of GAAP and regulatory frameworks like Financial Risk Management and GDPR

  • At least 10+ years of experience in Accounting and using financial accounting and budgeting platforms

  • Knowledge of international banking systems and practices

  • Key relationships in banking and financial services

  • Hands-On experience in setting up and leading accounting teams who support multiple business verticals in global technology services

  • A high level of business awareness and acumen and a strong understanding of accounting, and corporate operations.

  • Be able to demonstrable a high degree of integrity, decisiveness, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent Leadership, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of contract management, legal and regulatory requirements and recommending best practices, based on knowledge and experiences

  • Ability to conduct discussions through proposals and presentations

  • Strong management and conflict mediation skills.

  • Corporate pedigree of working in a multi-national company with similar responsibilities in global operations




Preferred Skills & Qualifications:


  • Additional Master’s degree or an MBA in financial management.

This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position, between 09:30 to 18:30 hours IST and maybe marginally adjusted to Eastern Daylight Time, USA
