Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced application penetration tester to join our Security and Privacy Risk Consulting group at RSM. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments, including both static and dynamic application security testing. Your role will involve performing manual penetration testing on various systems, collaborating with clients across different technology stacks, and developing security standards and guidance.
To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. You must possess expertise in web security, with a deep understanding of vulnerabilities and the ability to effectively identify and exploit them. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience in code review, application security testing, or web application development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, along with strong scripting abilities in languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and knowledge of cloud security best practices are highly desirable. Familiarity with development technologies like Docker, CDK, Terraform, Java, Python, React, GraphQL, Javascript, JSON, and REST is also preferred.
As part of our team, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and best practices, while working collaboratively with both internal teams and clients. You will play a key role in identifying security risks, providing remediation recommendations, and articulating findings to senior management and clients.
