Job Description


The Manager, Data Client Services ("Manager") oversees a team of analysts to deliver Tax services for assigned clients and processes. The Manager is responsible to ensure all project deliverables meet US expectations, manage stakeholder relationships and focus on process improvements to increase team productivity and efficiency. The Manager oversees project administration, review and development team quality, productivity and turnaround time. Manager is to ensure resource optimization and motivate employees to deliver superior performance.

Duties and Responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results



People:


  • Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.

  • Gives timely performance feedback to team members and addresses and escalates performance issues.

  • Ensures team compliance with Firm policies, practice guidelines, and standards.

  • Ensures workload is properly distributed among team members and holds team members accountable for completion of assigned projects.

  • Coaching and mentoring team members while defining their career paths.

  • Conduct individual monthly feedback sessions and provide inputs during performance appraisals.



Client:


  • Reviews and manages internal client expectations, project scope and expected deliverables.

  • Serves as the main contact overseeing all team activity and responds to internal client inquiries.

  • Communicates new issues, legislative changes, training opportunities, and client needs and strategies.

  • Prepares and conducts presentations and project status reviews.



Value:


  • Manages and monitors all aspects of the annual tax cycle for assigned tax portfolios.

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and acts as a subject matter expert.

  • Manages the preparation, review, and processing of all client reporting requirements.

  • Expertise in Project Management & Quality Management.

  • Setting up performance benchmarks for team and targeting entitlement levels in terms of team as well as individual performance.

  • Proactive communication and good organizing skills.

  • Innovative and critical thinking in driving process improvements and operational cost reduction.

  • Expertise in preparing and reporting out Monthly / Weekly / Quarterly / Half yearly and Annual dashboards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience:


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Commerce/ Accounting/ Business, or related field

  • At least 5-8 years of supervisory experience.



Computer Skills:


  • Expertise in MS Excel and MS Word and working knowledge of MS access

  • Computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills.



Additional Skills:


  • Strong Managerial ability to lead a team to success

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Able to motivate, influence and lead others in team environment

  • Good understanding of Taxation concepts with analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to perform quality assurance review, prepare procedural documents and metrics as required

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadline.
