Grindwell Norton Ltd. (GNO) has six manufacturing sites (Mora near Mumbai, Nagpur, Bangalore, Tirupati, Himachal Pradesh and Halol near Vadodara). The company manufactures Abrasives, High Performance Plastics, Performance Ceramics & Refractories, Silicon Carbide, Technical Fabrics, Glass Fibre Reinforcement Grid, offers a wide range of Project Engineering Services to Saint-Gobain companies in India and Internationally and houses the Groups IT Development Centre (INDEC).

Saint-Gobain ADFORS is the world leader in geotextiles and glass fiber technical fabrics for applications in construction and industrial markets. The Geotex business has a manufacturing facility in Bangalore and produces a range of reinforcement products for roads, runways, coal mines, and quarries for the domestic and APAC market.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Business Development Engineer to develop market and business for Geotextiles product in Western India.

Key Responsibilities:

1.To Work with BOT, TOT road construction companies and promote Geotextiles solutions

2. Interact with government departments to get product specified in tenders, generating projects having geotextiles with PWD, state road departments, municipal corporations

3. Work closely with specifying agencies in these sectors to introduce and where present, increase the penetration of these products.

4. Generate business leads from the specified region by networking with various stakeholders

5. Create awareness about products/solutions in designated region by interactions/presentations 6. Identifying sections for possible use of our products, trials and getting our products incorporated in tender documents with correct specs

7. To develop regional market, state PWD, municipal corporations, state road departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Geotextiles product

Preferred Skills:

1. Knowledge of Highway construction practices

2. Well versed in technical specifications for Highway construction material

3. Experience in dealing with Highway contractors, highway consultants, DPR consultants and government road departments
