Job Description
Role Summary:
- This position reports to the Head of HR
- The individual will be a dynamic and creative thinker, with expertise in managing payroll. The incumbent will be metrics driven and hence will help build a culture of accountability and a solid sense of performance-based outcomes
What youll be doing:
- Process companys payroll every pay period and ensure 100% accuracy and timely deliverables of payroll
- Maintain payroll processing system and records
- Prepare monthly payroll journal, finance, and headcount report
- Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
- Answers employee queries about wages, deductions, attendance, time records, etc.
- Receive and coordinate requests for leave and other absences
- Handle changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles
- Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant labour laws
- Identify, investigate, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
- Determines organization’s tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as National Insurance contributions
- Manage and lead compliances related to enrolments like ESIC, PF, and Gratuity
- Performs the distribution of wages through the issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts
- Ensures compliance with central, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
- Responsible for maintaining employee master sheet
- Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
- Gather benchmark data about jobs, compensation, and benefits
- Map out salary ranges for our open positions and conduct salary and labor market research to define benchmarks
- Complete ownership of the Spine HRMS System for all modules relating to Employee Payroll, Self-Service, Leave Management, Expense/Reimbursement Management, etc.
- Automation of the Letter preparation regarding appointment, confirmation, appraisals, relieving, or any other related letter through the HRMS system
- Taking care of expense & reimbursement management - update all the expenses in the HRMS and provide the relevant reports
- Reports preparation around Biometrics, Timesheets, Employee reconciliations, etc. on monthly basis for reconciliation and understanding of employee efficiencies.

- A creative thinker and someone who can bring continuous development of recruiting strategies
What you’ll need:
- 5-8 years’ experience in managing payroll
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Education: MBA in HR preferred
