Job Description
- As a Service Operational Support Manager at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, you will be a key player in driving operational excellence within the service organizations in India, China, and South East Asia. Reporting directly to the VP Service Operations, your primary mission is to ensure that service operations are efficient, cost-effective, and consistently exceed customer expectations.
Your responsibilities will include championing continuous improvement initiatives, lean practices, and standardization across service operations. You will also play a crucial role in supporting service digital transformation, implementing global standards, processes, and systems, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless execution of processes and improvement plans.
In this role, you will provide strategic input to Business Line Managers, Customer Service Managers (CSMs), Portfolio Managers, and other relevant teams on service requirements, offerings, and technical support capabilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring service contracts, driving key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with Sandvik's EHS policies and standards.
The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role, with a background in Engineering or Business Administration preferred. You should possess proven experience in managing heavy engineering workshop facilities, familiarity with mobile mining equipment, and a strong understanding of service contract management and performance metrics. Qualifications or experience in Six Sigma or similar productivity improvement programs are desirable, along with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
While the preference is for the successful candidate to be based in Singapore, flexibility on location is offered. Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential due to the international nature of the role.
